Here is an open question to San Bernardino City Unified School District spokeswoman Linda Bardere. After a 16-year-old student admitted she falsely accused another student of rape, Ms. Bardere said: "We want everyone to know we do have adequate security to protect students and staff at our schools."
Let us be candid, Ms. Bardere, your comment was referring to rape and similar crimes. You weren't referring to false rape claims, were you?
So precisely what security does the school have to protect male students from being falsely accused?
And, no, that's not sarcasm; and it's not a joke. Objectively verifiable studies show that false rape claims constitute upwards of half of all rape claims. Those figures can and are ignored, but they can't be dismissed by fair-minded individuals.
